WELCOME TO THE DOJO

My name is David, Dai Shihan and Dojo-cho of Shuhari Dojo.
I am proud of the trust families across Arizona place in our dojo and the lasting positive impact our training has had on their lives.
At Shuhari Dojo, we teach Budo Taijutsu, a traditional martial art passed down teacher to student for over 900 years, preserved through Soke Masaaki Hatsumi. This is authentic budo—that focuses on discipline, awareness, and personal growth.
Students are often surprised by how accessible training is from the first class. No prior experience or exceptional fitness is required. Parents consistently see meaningful improvements in their children’s focus, confidence, and self-control.
The best way to determine if Shuhari Dojo is right for you or your family is to experience it firsthand.
Begin today with one of our WEB SPECIALS and discover the strength, clarity, and confidence that come from traditional Shuhari Dojo training.
NEW YEAR. NEW DISCIPLINE. NEW YOU!
2026 is here—and there’s no better time to begin your martial arts journey than now.
At Shuhari Dojo, we believe martial arts is more than kicks and punches.
It’s confidence. Focus. Respect. Strength—inside and out.
Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or returning to training after time away,
the New Year is your invitation to reset, recommit, and grow.
Start 2026 learning real skills, building real discipline, and becoming part of a community
that pushes you to be better every day.
No shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just purposeful training rooted in tradition and shaped for modern life.
Make this the year you stop saying “someday” and start saying “I train.”
